Our Origin Story

In Pursuit of the American Dream

“The American Dream” is a phrase you will often hear Anthony Rizzo Sr. say when reflecting on his life. At the age of twelve, unable to speak a word of English, Anthony Sr. courageously traveled from his home in Italy to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities. In 1958, he graduated from Henry Abbott Technical High School with a diploma in Electrical Trade. From this moment forward, Anthony Sr. learned the true significance of hard work and determination. These two values paved the way for the successes he has achieved today.

Three years after earning his high school diploma, Anthony Sr. married the love of his life, Joan Martino. Together, the newlyweds took strides to build the life they dreamed of. In 1965, Anthony Sr. and Joan invested in their first property on South Street in Danbury. Little did they know, this investment would become the stepping stone for their business endeavors in the years to come.
